Just keeping this short and sweet for now.
I applied for exchange to Charles de Gaulle University in Lille, France (Lille 3) through Hermes by late December 2010 and after two and a half months of nervous waiting I received my acceptance letter in the mail from UWA!!!! I opened the letter with trembling hands :D
Now I have to do some admin stuff like sort out units and be prepared for applying for visas etc. Importantly, I have to wait for Lille 3 to send their acceptance of my application and gawd knows how long that'll take. I think... another 2-3 months. Oh yes. I've heard about the French and their bureaucracy. (I think since taking French I've actually learnt how to spell that word!)
Hmm at the moment, I'm really just trying to nut out this whole blog system. Should probably go to bed instead. Will post in more detail later!
